In a close game it was the Burbank Tigers 3, the Caracas Leones 1 at the
ballpark.
Burbank won the game with a run in the top of the 8th inning. After an out was
recorded, Jose Guillen slapped a one-base hit. Coco Crisp stepped into the
batter's box and he banged out a single. Scot Shields then unleashed a wild
pitch. Morgan Ensberg came up and he hit a deep fly scoring the run.
Burbank finished with 9 hits in the victory.
The victory went to Barry Zito(7-9) who went 8 innings, allowing 1 run.
Esteban Yan recorded the save, his 5th. Shields(4-3) was the loser in
relief.
